📣 Calling Noongar Artists! 🎨🌊

Do you have a cultural connection to Mamang Maambakoort Marine Park? This is your opportunity to create a lasting legacy through art.

The Mamang Maambakoort Marine Park Joint Management Body, a partnership between the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) and Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar Aboriginal Corporation (WKSNAC), is seeking Expressions of Interest from Noongar artists to develop the official branding artwork for the marine park.

The successful artwork will become the visual identity of the park and will be featured on:
🌿 Boundary and information signage
📖 Visitor guides and management plans
🖥 Digital platforms and websites
📚 Educational and interpretive resources

Who can apply?
Emerging and established Noongar artists with a cultural connection to Mamang Maambakoort Marine Park, or as approved by WKSNAC.

💰 Artist fee: Negotiable up to $5,000, with the artist retaining copyright and licensing negotiated separately.

📅 Expressions of Interest close Tuesday, 8 September 2026.

This is a unique opportunity to share Noongar culture through a significant public artwork that will welcome visitors and represent the stories, landscapes and cultural values of Mamang Maambakoort Marine Park for years to come.

Are you a Noongar artist with a cultural connection to Menang Country? This is your opportunity to create artwork that shares the stories of Cable Beach, Torndirrup National Park, with thousands of visitors for years to come.

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), in partnership with Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar Aboriginal Corporation (WKSNAC), is seeking Expressions of Interest from Noongar artists to create artwork for two new interpretive signs at Cable Beach. The artworks will celebrate Menang connection to Country and help tell the cultural stories of this special place.

The successful artist will develop two artworks exploring themes including:
🌿 Menang people on Country – land and sea
🔥 Fire, smoke and traditional signalling
🌊 Coastal safety and caring for Country
🐬 Dolphins, fish, salmon and seasonal knowledge

Who can apply?
Emerging and established Noongar artists with a cultural connection to Menang Country, or as approved by WKSNAC.
