Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar Aboriginal Corporation Appoints New Chief Executive Officer
Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar Aboriginal Corporation (WKSNAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Miss Heidi Mippy as its new Chief Executive Officer. Heidi has been transitioning into the role over recent weeks and officially commenced full-time this week.

Over the past few months, the WKSN AC Board has undertaken systematic change within the Corporation at both board and operational levels and is moving forward in the spirit of unity and togetherness.
ORIC: WKSN AC Rule Book Amendments Update
The WKSN AC Chairperson and Acting CEO recently attended a meeting with Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC) about required changes to the Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar Aboriginal Corporation’s (WKSN AC’s) Rule Book.
H5N1 Bird Flu Virus Update
As of the 15th of June, 8 cases of H5N1 bird flu have been recorded in WA. They have all been migratory sea birds visiting the coast and have been found from Esperance to Lancelin.
Lease of land parcel
The first lease has been signed for a parcel of Cultural Land across the South West Native Title Settlement.
Special General Meeting: 2 August 2025
Members are invited to a special general meeting in Katanning or Perth.
Firearms Act 2024 Licence property letters
SWALSC can issue eligible WKSN AC members with Property Hunting Permission letters for their Gun License applications.
First meeting of the Mamang Maambakoort Marine Park Joint Management Body held
The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar Aboriginal Corporation held their first meet meeting of the Mamang Maambakoort Marine Park Joint Management Body.
Repatriation from Germany
The Repatriation of the partial remains from Germany commenced in 2019 and plans for the reburial are now finalised.
Cooperative Management Committee appointments
The CMC was formed under the ILUA to work with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
