WKSNAC Committees Policy

Dear WKSN Agreement Group.

Recently the WKSNAC Board of Directors endorsed a new Committees Policy designed to ensure fair representation for participation across all WKSN Committees as required under the Indigenous Land Use Agreement, Funding Agreements, and Board Subcommittees established for specific and non-ongoing purposes. The Policy is aimed at ensuring that no one Agreement Group Member can sit on multiple committees at anyone time to allow greater participation across the Corporation, and to capture greater representation from within community.

This Policy has been endorsed by the board and will be implemented immediately. Members who are current representatives on a number of WKSNAC Committees affected by this Policy will be contacted individually to discuss their options in a respectful manner. 

The Board have listened to the Agreement Group in relation to fair and reasonable representation across the Corporation and look forward to this new way of bringing everyone along on the journey.

All member related policies will be uploaded to the WKSNAC website in due course.
