About WKSN Aboriginal Corporation

The Wagyl Kaip and Southern Noongar people are the Traditional Owners of approximately 52,246km² and includes the towns of Buyups Brook, Gowangerup, Bridgetown, Walpole, Denmark, Mt Barker, Cranbrook, Tambellup, Katanning, Nyabing, Jerramungup, Ravensthorpe, Hopetoun, Bremer Bay and Albany. Wagyl Kaip and Southern Noongar lays east of the South West Boojarah region and south of the Gnaala Karla Booja region.

Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar Aboriginal Corporation (WKSN) was formed as a result of the South West Native Title Settlement (Settlement). WKSN has been established to assist Wagyl Kaip and Southern Noongar people to maintain, protect, promote and support their culture and manage the land and waters within their country. WKSN is party to one of six Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUA) that comprise the Settlement.


Ranger Manager

Manage the effective operations of the land management program and lead the ranger team to establish, recruit, and train a new ranger team. Lead the implementation of the ranger team operational and business plans. 

It’s a full time role based in Albany, with regular travel across the Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar region. The annual salary is $124,578 plus superannuation.

Ranger Coordinator

In cooperation with the Ranger Manager, build and manage the ranger team. Assist to coordinate the recruitment, work scheduling, training, and day to day activities of the ranger team and ensure work health and safety requirements are met.

It’s a full time role based in Kojonup. The annual salary range between $102,545 - $110,913 plus superannuation.

Senior Ranger

A hands on role undertaking field work and land management activities and ensuring the ranger team operates in a safe and efficient way. Liaise between the team leader, manager, and the ranger team on cultural matters.

It’s a full time role based in Albany, with regular travel across the Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar region. The annual salary range is between $94,809 - $98,601 plus superannuation.
